SP01L Lamp

Description

SP01L continues the line of 3D printable lamps that gives new life to filament spools.

Those of us who print know what it’s like to have spent spools lying around not knowing what to do with them, plus they’re hard to recycle. That’s why I’ve created this design line that plays ingeniously with the spools to make the most of them.

To assemble it you just have to print 2 times the same piece (SP01L.stl). These halves are attached to a spool and tied with thread or you can even use leftover filament.

You can play with the combination of the different types and colors of spools you have: dark or transparent, plastic or cardboard…. I used a transparent spool from Sakata 3D.

The outer diameter of the lamp is 22.5 cm, I have left a margin so you can assemble it with different brands of spools of 1kg. You can even scale the design to be able to assemble a smaller version with smaller spools!
